Composites and Materials Testing

We have proven experience in developing epoxy formulations for science applications, manufacturing small production runs of scientific components, and formulating and producing neutron-absorbing materials, like boron carbide, for neutron scattering facilities.

Our facility features a suite of materials testing equipment, including cryogenic 100kN servohydraulic and testometric 50kN screw-driven testing machines. We can also carry out:

  • Differential scanning calorimetry
  • Dynamic mechanical analysis
  • Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy
  • Rheology
  • Thermogravimetric analysis

Our chemists ensure that all our work is carried out safely and we use appropriate disposal routes with minimal environmental impact for hazardous materials.
